Delete your data
Your information is yours. Here are three ways to delete it, step by step. No long forms, no weird waits.
Before you start, read this
When you delete data in Fociter, there's no going back. If you want to keep your financial history or your streaks, export your data first from Settings → Export my data. Takes less than a minute.
Start fresh (without losing your account)
If you want to reset your habits, finance, and goals but keep using the app with the same email, this is the option. The account stays, all the data goes.
1234 in the confirmation field
It's a simple code to make sure you're not tapping the button by accident.
Confirm reset. Tap it and the wipe runs.
Done. Your data is now blank. Your account stays active and you can start using the app from scratch with the same email and password.
What gets deleted

Delete account and absolutely everything
The full wipe. Account, data, subscription, history — everything goes. This option fulfills your right to erasure under GDPR, CCPA, LFPDPPP, and similar laws.
DELETE in all caps
It has to be exactly like that, all caps. This prevents accidental deletion.
Done, all wiped. Your account and all your data are deleted. The process is immediate. If you had an active subscription, remember to cancel it in your App Store or Google Play (we can't cancel it for you).
The only thing we keep: minimal records required by law (anonymized payment logs, audit trail of the deletion). None of this is connected to you personally — it's tax and legal requirements that last as long as the law requires, and then they're deleted automatically.
Request it by email
If you've lost access to your account, don't have your device handy, or simply prefer that we do it for you, send us an email. Takes longer, but it works.

What gets deleted exactly?
When you delete your account (Option B) or request deletion by email (Option C), all this is permanently erased:
Personal data
- Your email and credentials
- Name, photo, configuration
- Preferences and settings
Activity data
- Transactions and accounts
- Habits, goals, and streaks
- XP, levels, and achievements
- Shared groups and tandas
- Notifications and invitations

Can I cancel after tapping the button?
Can I save my data before deleting?
If I just uninstall the app, does that delete my data?

What about shared groups I'm in?
If you're just a member, your entry in the group is marked as "Account deleted", but your name remains visible to the other participants. This is for the safety of the group: in savings circles and shared groups, the other members need to know who contributed and who received each cycle to reconcile payments. Your email, photo, and personal data are fully deleted.
